GRANULATION PROCESS:

Granulation process :- 

It is a process in which the powder particles are made to adhere to form larger, multi particle entities called granules. A dough mass is prepared to form the granules.

There are different granulation process 

1.Dry granulation.

2.Wet granulation.

3.Direct compaction.

All the processes involves the compression of granules to form a tablet.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) are the substances which are use to treat or cure any disease or disorder in Humans or Any Animal.

Process

API and exipients are used to form a dough mass of powder to form a granules by use of different methods.

In dry granulation process powder is mixed with the exipients to form dough mass and it is further passes from the sieve of perticular aperture size.

After granulation process granules are dried in (DHS) Dry heat sterilizer.Dried granules are then punch to form a tablet by Tablet punching machine.  

In dry granulation powder is mixed and directly punched by tablet punching machine

In direct compaction tablets flacks are punched to tablets.
